It was revealed alongside the fellow Pokémon fighter Pichu and the rest of the veterans on June 12th, 2018. Like in games prior to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Jigglypuff is unlockable, instead of being available from the start. Jigglypuff is classified as Fighter #12, the last fighter number of the SSB veterans.
